Polyurethane adhesives are supplied as one component moisture curing and two component products. Polyurethane adhesives crosslink during the curing cycle to form tough, strong, resilient products. Due to the cross linking, these products have a high resistance to temperature (-40 to +140 degrees celsius), water, oils, plastacisers and weak acids and alkalis.
Polyurethane adhesives can be tailor made to suit most production processing with fast or slow curing systems and can be applied using a variety of techniques including spray, bead or roller.
Apollo Fastack adhesive is a unique two component polyurethane adhesive which offers ultra fast curing which facilitates continuous process production. Apollo's water based polyurethane adhesives offer environmentally friendly alternatives to other systems. Apollo offers polyurethane adhesives as room temperature liquids or reactive hot melts.
Amongst others, polyurethane adhesives can be used for the manufacture of:
- rigid insulated panels - structural insulated panels (SIP's) - truck panels - caravans - cold store panels - raised access floor panels - fabric lamination - modular buildings - offsite construction
The benefits of using a polyurethane adhesive include:
- bonding a wide range of substrates - high heat resistance - chemical resistance - external use - single suface application - wide range of application techniques - structural bond - fire retardant - water based
